My friends and I are going to a convention in a couple of months dressed as Axe Cop characters. I plan to dress as Dinosaur Soldier (best colored pic I could find).

It's my first time doing this kind of thing (outside of Halloween as a kid and a crappy zombie movie), and I wasn't planning on painting myself green at first, but now I'm considering it. I've done a bit of shopping around, but I'm not exactly sure what to look for. Most of what I see is latex, which, although I'm not allergic, seems like more trouble than I'd like. But what do I know?

You guys have any experience? Thoughts? Suggestions? If it matters, it ought to cover the chest/arms up, and I have an upper face mask, hopefully getting a green bald cap, or maybe a regular one painted green.

Liquid Latex should work, you can find it at the sex shops.  Not sure if you can get green though.

You should be able to get green.  I like to dress up as a Goblin and eat mushrooms.

Considered it. Even bought a recorder just for the heck of it. But I've already got the mask, gun, and the "muscle shirt" (even though I don't have muscles to go with it).

But if the suit doesn't look good, why use one at all? Besides, most of them seem ridiculously huge or misshapen, meaning I'd have to buy a bigger shirt to go over it, so... might as well just not do the muscle suit thing. Plus I'm cheap and they tend to be... not.
