I'm just curious how often any Dice Troll members goes to big tournaments? The reason why I ask is that I wonder if we can do something to "represent" Dicetroll at these tournaments. I think it would be cool if we could agree to an army for both 40k and fantasy where each member contributes some figures for. We would come up with a painting theme and each person can do a few figures in that them. Once the army is done we would ship it around to members who are willing to play the army at a tournament. What do you guys think?

But not many tournies around here since GW bailed... There are a couple Indy tournies we go to but lately it's been rough.

We have a big(well, to our standards) annual tourney in our town, non-GW of course. That seems like a cool idea actually, I'd be willing to chip in. I can make the orc boss BSB with DT logo on it  |

I actually have a boar boss and 16 arrer boyz from the 6th ed. starter set. Unpainted all of them. A converted BSB is np, but what are those two items and what do they do? Do they have any characteristics described?

Martog's Best Basha is a magic weapon (an old Dwarven Axe covered in runes and blood!), +1 WS, I and S.
The Effigy is a small statue of Mork made out of his own dung and makes the bearer harder to hit. -1 to hit. I wouldn't model it as a Poopy Statue though, haha.
So are we gonna do this? I woudn't mind making a different army too. Maybe a Poll to see if people will actually participate and what army they want to use?

other than the local shop i've been to two GW grand tournaments. 2 round one's , 2 semifinal rounds and one final round all of the 'ard boys tournament for 40k.
i like the idea
there is however, now way i'm supporting an orc and goblin DT army. for it is "teh suck"

I think it's a nice idea  For an army you could either do something that stands out, or hardly anyone plays (Like an all gobbo/grot army or merc army for example). Or one which anyone knows how to play (like marines). One would attract attention and more for fun, the other for ease of play. |

The main reason for taking O&G is that we can actually include a unit of our mascot in the army. IMO smashing all opposition with the army shouldn't be top priority, otherwise we'd just be playing demons. And that would suck a million arses. We'd have to convert characters and unit champions after forum members |

HGT just wants another excuse to whine for the 93rd time about how he has to paint another 150 models for a tournament
if you're going to do it, do an army that no one here has. beastmen or bretonnian or something.
