Apoc: icy manipulator can tap cards too... then use the assasin.


Akr: Its not used as creature destroyer, its used to cancel out creature abilities. As soon as a creature uses his ability and taps, you interrupt and destroy it, the ability is removed from the stack and you've countered it.

Somehow I've the weird feeling you guys don't know the working of the spell stack...

Yea i do, i'm just saying how we use it. Hardly any of our friends use creatures with tap abilities in my friends circle. They use mostly global effects. IE all slivers gain flying, or when a zombie comes into play all non zombie creatures get -1/-1 untill end of turn.

But here is an example of how me and my friends play.

Jeff taps his trap runner to tap the sliver queen, homey on my left taps Ra to destroy it.

of coarse we do that on their turn. Yanno since the abilities can be used as instants ^_^

I always like Grave pack... mixed with Reanimation... My now T1 ext god knows what deck (T2 back when rath cycle was out) what just buch of smal shadows.. alter of dimentria, Grave pack and Living death.. (there was a bit more for controll but this was the heart.. ) Funnest deck I ever owned..
